With only $20 on hand and an hour to spare in the isles of his local dollar store, your capable of finding and assembling a cheap and easy disaster preparedness grab and go kit or go bag with just twenty bucks.

Sure some folks will say you need the most expensive brand and products you can find to save your life – but, with $20 dollars and an hour of your time, you can put this very same kit together as you see in the photo, as if you were putting together a more lucrative $200 or $1000 dollar survival kit for you and your family.

As a member of the Eugene-Springfield Community Emergency Response Team, I can tell you, folks always ask me – “why do disaster preparedness kits have to be so expensive?” Honestly, they don’t need to be expensive – period, as I tell them. You can actually get away with the simplest things around the house and from the dollar store as someone once said.
